This is an evening event from 6.00pm to 8.30pm. Admission price £10.00 per person - Tickets are limited and only available to buy in advance from the museum. Please note: Minimum height requirement of 1.07 metres applies for accessing aircraft cockpits.

Over 2000 historical re-enactors, performers and costumed interpreters present you with a fantastic selection of live shows and interactive experiences covering over two millennia of history. Amongst the spectacular live shows this year, visitors will be able to get a ring side seat to see William the Conqueror defeat King Harold in the famous battle of 1066 and witness the last pitched battle of the War of the Roses.

The current BBC Folk Singer of The Year skilfully combines the political with the personal. Willow Foundation is a Hatfield-based charity providing special days for seriously ill 16-40 year olds. 50p from each Folk by the Oak ticket is donated to Willow. The 2011 festival raised £6,800 both through the ticket contribution and your own donations on the day.

Search and Rescue Half Term 22 October 2012 - 26 October 2012 RAF Museum Cosford This Half Term, children over 5 can join in a free and exciting activity in which both they and their friends will become active participants in an air sea rescue and discover how the Royal Air Force mounts such operations in hazardous conditions. In each session children will be able to experience what it is really like to be marooned in a life raft and will learn various survival techniques, with their fellow crew members. Participants will also watch a DVD of an actual RAF rescue and learn of some of the dangers of the sea.

Remembrance Service 11 November 2012 RAF Museum Cosford - There will be a service of remembrance taking place in the Museum's Hangar 1 in front of the Comet with visitors, ATC and RAF personnel present. All visitors are welcome to join the service for this act of remembrance for those who lost their lives in conflict. Visitors are asked to assemble in Hangar 1 by 10.30am.

Shipley Gardens surround a 17th century Wye Valley Homestead standing upon the site of previous dwellings that since Roman times have administered the adjacent ford and former ferry. The Gardens created during the last 40 years by the Author & Landscape Architect - Bob Macadie, are set within 30 acres of mixed environmental habitats as a magical structure of garden rooms moulded into the base of the escarpment next to the flood plain of the valley floor. There are unique atmospheric Tea Rooms and Garden Rooms of surprise and informality with lecterns of whimsical information.
